Norge Replay - Download & Install

Installation

Download the ZIP file using the button above. Your browser may warn that the file could be harmful — click Keep to save it. This is normal for downloaded programs.

Extract the ZIP — Right-click the downloaded file and choose Extract All. This creates a NorgeReplay folder.

Run the installer — Open the NorgeReplay folder and double-click install.bat. Type Y when prompted.

The installer will:

Copy files to your user profile (no admin password required)
Create a Desktop shortcut
Create a Start Menu entry
Register in Apps & Features for easy removal

Launch — Double-click the Norge Replay shortcut on your Desktop, or find it in the Start Menu.

Windows SmartScreen: The first time you run the installer or application, Windows may show a "Windows protected your PC" warning. Click More info, then Run anyway. This happens because the application is not digitally signed.

Using Norge Replay

Select a date — When Norge Replay starts, it connects to the tournament server and loads available dates into the Date dropdown. Pick a tournament date to see its videos.

Pick a video — The Video dropdown shows all recorded jumps for that date. Videos marked [+] are already cached locally; videos marked [ ] need to be downloaded.

Click Play — The video is downloaded (if not cached) and opens in the viewer. Use the mouse and keyboard to navigate frame by frame and measure distances.

Buttons

Video Viewer Controls

Tip: Use the Load Cache button to download all videos for a tournament date at once. Once cached, playback is instant — no waiting for downloads.

Uninstalling

Norge Replay can be removed in two ways:

Option 1: Windows Settings

Open Settings → Apps → Apps & features
Search for Norge Replay
Click Uninstall

Option 2: Run the uninstaller directly

Navigate to the installation folder and run uninstall.bat:

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\NorgeReplay\uninstall.bat

The uninstaller will ask whether you want to keep or delete cached videos. Keeping them means you won't need to re-download if you reinstall later.

System Requirements

✓ Windows 10 or Windows 11
✓ Internet connection (for downloading tournament videos)
✓ ~50 MB disk space for the application, plus space for cached videos

Visual C++ Runtime: Norge Replay requires the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable. This is already installed on most Windows 10/11 computers. If you see an error about a missing vcruntime140.dll, download the Visual C++ Redistributable from Microsoft and install it.

Troubleshooting

"Windows protected your PC" warning

This appears because the application is not digitally signed. Click More info, then click Run anyway. This only happens the first time.

Cannot connect to server

Check your internet connection. If you're behind a corporate firewall or proxy, it may block access to thehansens.com.

Video downloads are slow

Video files can be 1.5 MB each. Use the Load Cache button to download all videos for a date in one batch while you do something else.

Norton Antivirus blocks or deletes the programs

Norton may flag NorgeReplay.exe or fileviewer.exe as suspicious because they are not digitally signed. Norton can quarantine or delete the files without warning. To prevent this, add the installation folder as an exclusion:

Open Norton Security (or Norton 360)
Click Settings (gear icon)
Select Antivirus
Click the Scans and Risks tab
Scroll down to Exclusions / Low Risks
Under Items to Exclude from Scans, click Configure
Click Add Folders and browse to the installation folder, or type the path directly:

C:\Users\{USERID}\AppData\Local\Programs\NorgeReplay\*

Replace {USERID} with your Windows username. For example, if your username is david, the exclusion path would be:

C:\Users\david\AppData\Local\Programs\NorgeReplay\*
Click OK to save

Also add the same path under Items to Exclude from Auto-Protect, SONAR, and Download Intelligence Detection on the same settings page to prevent real-time scanning from interfering.

Tip: If Norton has already quarantined the files, open Norton Security → Security History, find the quarantined items, and choose Restore. Then add the exclusion before running the programs again.

Missing vcruntime140.dll error

Install the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (x64).
